Math Classes

Pre-Algebra 1

Commonly taken by kids in 6th and 7th grade, this course covers the basics of algebra including expressions, ratios and data analysis.

Pre-Algebra 2

This course builds on the foundations of Pre-Algebra 1 and covers new topics such as rational numbers, polynomials, and linear equations.

Algebra 1

Typically taken in 8th or 9th grade, this course covers foundational algebraic concepts including solving linear equations and inequalities, working with exponents, graphing on the coordinate plane, and understanding functions.

Algebra 2

Building on Algebra 1, this course introduces more advanced topics such as quadratic equations, polynomials, complex numbers, exponential and logarithmic functions, and basic probability and statistics.

Geometry

This course, often taken in 9th or 10th grade, focuses on the study of shapes, sizes, relative positions of figures, and the properties of space. Key topics include congruence, similarity, the Pythagorean theorem, trigonometry, and the basics of proofs.

Science Classes

Physics 1

Typically taken in high school, this introductory physics course covers fundamental concepts such as motion, forces, energy, work, and power. Students also learn about basic electricity, waves, and thermodynamics, applying math skills to solve physics problems.

Chemistry 1

An introductory chemistry course often taken in high school that covers topics like atomic structure, the periodic table, chemical bonds, reactions, stoichiometry, states of matter, and introductory thermochemistry.

Biology 1

This foundational biology course covers essential life sciences topics, including cell structure and function, genetics, evolution, ecology, and basic human anatomy and physiology. Students learn scientific methods and lab skills relevant to biological studies.
